FAQ

How do I spot phishing messages?

We will never ask for your password or 2FA codes. Check the sender address carefully, hover links to preview the URL, and avoid opening unexpected attachments. When in doubt, go to your mailbox directly instead of clicking links.

Will my legacy mail app keep working?

Most will continue to work after you update to the latest security protocols. We recommend modern clients that support OAuth2 or app passwords for the best experience and protection.

What IMAP/SMTP settings should I use?

Use IMAP with SSL/TLS on port 993 and SMTP with SSL/TLS on port 465 (or STARTTLS on 587) where supported. Authentication is required. See the Support page for provider-specific settings.

How do I enable two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Open your account Security settings and enable two-step verification. If your mail app doesn’t support OAuth2, generate an app password and use it in place of your regular password.
